Our book, ‘Red Tents – Unravelling our Past and Weaving a Shared Future’ is now available.
It is now available as an e-book or paperback from all major booksellers.
In the book, we have documented our shared hope, vision and dream of Red Tents as liberatory community spaces for women around the world. We offer practical support and ideas to help women to establish and sustain a Red Tent in their community. We have also included questions and practices to support you and to stimulate discussion about some of the challenges that we know Red Tents face.
When women come together, magic happens. We know this to be true from our own experience. And we have also seen that something else happens too when these communities grow: they can become a beacon to others.
In this book we weave together the voices over 70 people who we interviewed, to create a shared story about the role Red Tents can play in our lives. We would love you to read it.
We also want others to find it and want to launch our guerilla book planting plans so people literally stumble upon a copy in likely and unlikely places. To cultivate some guerilla book planting of you own then follow these steps:
Step 1 – spread the word – if you have read the book & enjoyed it we would love reviews – anywhere and on Amazon especially as it helps others to spot our book,
Step 2 will involve writing a note inside our book (or downloading a sticker – coming soon),
Step 3 is ‘planting’ the book and taking a photo to tag us on social media.
As the phrase goes … ‘they tried to bury us, they didn’t know that we were the seeds.’
