1. What do Red Tents mean to you?
I believe that the path to healing the world is through empowering women and what better way to empower women than to make space for them to come together and be heard; their pain, their joy and everything in between? I think “healing the world” always sounds a lofty ambition, and it is, but what Red Tent means to me is that women’s empowerment is accessible, it’s tangible and it’s local, and all of these seemingly small ripples (or circles!) eventually join together to create something awesome.
2. What do you do in the Red Tent Directory?
I look at how we interact and communicate with the women who come to us on social media, how we can improve those
3. How do Red Tents inform your wider work and life?
There is not currently a Red Tent locally to me (perhaps I will start my own one day!) but I feel very nourished in the Red Tent Directory meetings I attend with my fellow team members and so that feels very much like a Circle of its own! Red Tent allows me to feel deeply connected to the purposeful work being done by all the other women who are connected to a Red Tent, both for themselves and for others, and keeping that work at the forefront of my mind helps me stay
